Keiko Miller has a long history engaging people on issues of importance - whether public policy issues, internal organizational issues, community issues, or environmental issues. With specific expertise on community engagement, facilitation, and waste reduction, Keiko works with clients to develop processes and content that meet their needs.
Prior to the birth of her children, Keiko worked at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and for a local non-profit organizing citizen participation projects around public policy issues. In 2008, she founded Linden Hills EcoParents as a way for people, especially parents, to learn about environmental issues and sustainable living, with a special focus on waste and toxicity reduction. As a member of her neighborhood council, Keiko initiated and led the effort to make the annual neighborhood festival a 'low waste' event and successfully reduced trash from an overflowing dumpster to a half-bag. As a board member for Linden Hills Power and Light, she spearheaded a partnership establishing the EcoBLEND awards, to recognize eco-friendly building and remodeling projects throughout Minneapolis.
Keiko has written and edited content for online and print outlets about waste reduction, sustainable living, toxicity reduction, and low-waste event planning. Keiko has worked with numerous organizations to develop and facilitate engagement processes around contentious community and policy issues, as well as internal strategic and organizational planning. She served as chair of the board for Linden Hills Power and Light, now Minneapolis Climate Action.
Keiko worked for Pinnacle Performance Group from 2019-2023, providing strategic execution consultation to organizations ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to non-profit organizations and public agencies. As a senior consultant and project lead, she provided project management, team leadership, process development & execution, as well as content development and communication strategy.
Keiko has a B.S. from Trinity College (CT) and a Masters of Public Policy from the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs (University of Minnesota), with a focus on environmental management and policy. She lives in Minneapolis with her daughter, son, and rescue dog. She enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, gardening, and is an avid sports fan.
